Who We Are
Cultivate Abundance is a faith-based organization addressing food insecurity and other livelihood challenges in low income, im/migrant farmworker communities of Southwest Florida and beyond.
The mission of Cultivate Abundance is to mobilize appropriate resources to eliminate hunger and enable small-scale food production in vulnerable households and communities.
Our Mission
Our Vision
Cultivate Abundance envisions food security for vulnerable households and communities.
Our Core Values
Compassion
From a faith and conscience perspective, we are focused on serving the “least of these” (Matthew 25:40) with a passion for justice (Micah 6:8) along with a commitment to love God and our neighbors as ourselves (Matthew 22:37-39).
Humility
Our expected mode of interaction among all Cultivate Abundance stakeholders, including the im/migrant community as well as among team members, volunteers, supporters, and partner agencies is that of humility, sensitivity, and respect.
Learning
In addition to gaining knowledge about local food cultures and building our capacity related to small-scale food production, we also strive to deepen our understanding regarding circumstances related to migration and unique farmworker challenges (e.g., legal barriers, human rights, wages, health care, housing), particularly in Immokalee, Florida, and nearby im/migrant communities where we address food insecurity.
Respectful Advocacy
We approach our work among im/migrants, refugees, and/or farmworkers as respectful advocates.
Integrity
We are committed to being transparent and truthful in our planning, activities, and reporting.
